Dundee By Designers tells the story of the creation of the 2019 Dundee Design Festival. The festival explored what a liveable and loveable city could look like in the future and investigated how, collectively, we can use design to shape that future.
The 2019 festival was located in an underused but much loved 1970’s city centre shopping mall. This book documents the processes visually to communicate that despite how it is often portrayed, design is not superficial. It is a tool to create positive change and our cities and designers can use it to develop systems and processes to redefine rules and transform the ways in which we live our lives, experience our cities and tell our stories.
