The exhibition “Design for the Real World: A Decade of the Sustainable Development Goals” runs from July 4 to August 23, 2026, at Fosun Art Foundation in Shanghai. It brings together over 100 sustainable design cases from 17 countries. It explores how design addresses real-world environmental, social, and everyday challenges through the circular economy, sustainable materials, rural revitalization, ethnic minority cultures, inclusive design, accessible design, pet care, and AI for good. Inspired by Victor Papanek’s book Design for the Real World, the exhibition demonstrates how the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are rooted in tangible, practical solutions that improve everyday life.
