Shanghai joined UNESCO Creative Cities Network as the “City of Design” in 2010, since then, Shanghai has been committed to place creativity and design as strategic transversal enabler for empowering industries, creating better life, improving urban service, and pioneering the future. Initiated by the Shanghai Municipal Government, special supported by UNESCO, the “Shanghai Design 100+” Award is now open for the international call for showcasing outstanding design works and creativities, promoting international exchanges and collaborations. International Design companies, studios and individual designers are warmly welcomed to participate and illustrate the excellent design of all fields without any application fee.

Awards
The final “Shanghai Design 100+”award will be made by a team of domestic and international experts by viewing and judging the application contents and with the considerations of public voting.
- 300 projects will be shortlisted, among which 100 projects will be selected.
- 2. Four Grand Prizes will be awarded, totaling 2 million RMB as follows:
– AI Innovation Design Award: Recognizing innovative applications of Artificial Intelligence in consumer industries and design practices.
– Cultural & Creative Design Award: Recognizing design on cultural heritage and creative innovation to boost contemporary fashion consumption.
– Green and Sustainable Design Award: Recognizing excellence in ecological design, circular economy solutions, and sustainable fashion industry.
– Human-Centered Design Award: Exclusive for female designers, showcasing humanistic care through delicate perspectives.

Those who is selected for the “Shanghai Design 100+” and Grand Prize will:
– Receive certificate of honor and trophy;
– Opportunities for participation the exhibition at World Design Cities Conference September 2026;
– Authorized to use the “Shanghai Design 100+” logo for the selected design works;
– Promotion by official release and public medias and top Chinese social medias;
– With prioritized service and coordination for works with industrialization and commercial needs.
